This roll-on waxer kit cuts through much of the mess and fuss of home epilation. The kit includes the following: a 5-1/2-by-3-inch heating unit with a 6-foot removable cord; two full wax cartridges (one with a 2-inch roller and one with a 1/2-inch roller) designed to apply wax evenly and precisely to any fuzzy nook or cranny you can find; 24 precut wax removal strips; oil to remove any remaining wax while cooling and softening skin; an instructional videocassette; and a storage pouch.
To use the kit, plug in the heating unit then snap a wax cartridge into it. There's a built-in foot stand for convenience and safety. A red indicator light will flash while the wax is heating, and remain lit when the wax is ready. The waxing procedure is the same as that of most other such units: apply wax, smooth the removal strip over the waxed area, take a deep breath, and let 'er rip! What's different is that you don't have a messy tub of wax, a messy applicator stick, or a lot of rigmarole. With the roll-on applicator, it's quick, clean, and easy. The wax itself is European professional quality, blended from beeswax and pine resins; it contains no chemicals or perfumes.
Conair suggests that you can unplug the heating unit when you're ready to apply the wax, but we found that the wax cools down in about five minutes. To maintain optimal wax temperature, it's best to keep the unit plugged in while using. Once you get your system down, the results are smooth.
